Creating the Stars

It was a normal Tuesday evening Maynooth, except karaoke evening arranged by international society at McMahon's bar... During the day people were talking with each other and asking that "are you going to karaoke tonight?" Some said maybe, some say yes and according facebook event there were 30 people going. Why not to join I thought, it's a good fun anyways.

When clock was 9.30pm it was the moment to step on to stage but yet there was no one so the karaoke host was singing few songs until someone would be brave enough to step on to stage.
Only after few songs two members of international society broke the ice stepping on the stage singing Outkast - Hey Ya song... After that stage was open, show went on and there was no lack of singers at all... And even that if you wasn't singing at stage, it didn't stop to join along if you knew the lyrics... There was songs from past several decades but I guess that the glorious 90s' were the decade that won at this time...
Eventually evening actually ended before people would have been ready to stop singing, but one thing was certain: Several new stars were born in Maynooth. I know that there are programs like Idols, X-Factor, Talent etc... But who cares about those anymore after this good craic!
